The CMHS has been a Miramichi institution for over 52 years. The CMHS has played a key role in maintaining local sites of historical significance and prides itself in maintaining a community oriented approach to historical preservation.
Research assistants will be expected to have high technical skills (recording, Microsoft word, editing, social media, etc) and will ideally have some background knowledge with conducting research and organizing data. Social skills are valued and candidates with a deep passion for history, genealogy, and community service will be given highest consideration. Employees will be responsible for conducting and recording 7 interviews with key local figures over the course of the summer. Interview data will be compiled into documents and recordings which will be connected to existing files and data. Research assistants will also assist with organizing and creating one community event in addition to collecting photos and resources from members of the community.

Duties
• Educate residents about recycling and composting
• Conduct waste audits & curbside surveys
• Input data from audits into excel
• Attend local events to promote waste reduction

• Conduct summer camp activities for children
• Conduct Puppet Show for Grade 2 students
Qualications
• Post-Secondary student
• Excellent communications skills, organized and responsible.
• Passionate about the environment and waste reduction
• Bilingual is a denite asset.
• Valid driver’s license

Under the direction of an Animal Care Supervisor you will be required to carry out the following:
• To maintain the entire Adoption Centre in a clean, sanitary, and efficient manner on an ongoing basis and in a collaborative manner;
• To ensure kennels, runs, and cat cages are kept in a manner that is best suited for the animal’s health and welfare as per the cleaning protocols;
• To monitor the health and welfare of the animals through the maintenance of up-to-date kennel cards, providing information to the Animal Care Supervisors and recording daily logs, and completing daily welfare sheets;
• To maintain animals on a proper diet ensuring daily feeding, watering, exercise, and enrichment;
• To perform general bathing and grooming of animals;
• To treat animals humanely, with compassion and concern, and in a manner consistent with the Five Freedoms;
• To perform other duties as assigned.

The Moss Glen legion is excited to hire two people to help with various responsibilities at the Legion. Each summer there is a low-cost softball program offered for youth at this location and summer employees would be assisting with planning and coaching - all training will be provided and there is no experience necessary. Other possible tasks include, but are not limited, to cleaning, light building maintenance (organization, painting, ect), yard work, planning and assisting with community events. If interested, employees will also have the opportunity to assist with social media pages and advertising.

Stonehammer UNESCO Global Geopark is hiring a Geopark Interpreter. This role will focus on showcasing relevant natural and cultural history sites around the region, while operating primarily out of Saint John. The Geopark Interpreter will inform the public about what Stonehammer does, and educate on the environment, history, and culture of the region, while promoting sustainable tourism initiatives. Programming will be directed at both locals and tourists, and will include events that are free and low cost for the community.
Training will be provided; additionally, the candidate is expected to have excellent communication skills, be comfortable speaking in front of large groups of people, and work independently and with a team. Applicants of all backgrounds and experience levels are encouraged to apply.
Job Type: full-time, seasonal
Contract length: 12 weeks
Salary: $15.30-$16.50 per hour
Expected hours: 35 hours
Schedule: Day shift; Weekends, evenings as needed

There are also weekday musical events and the guides will welcome participants, and assure there is no entry during the event so a quiet atmosphere is the norm. There is no religious component or discussion engaged in. We let the church's spiritual side speak though the furnishings observed.
