Responsibilities:
Assist town events such as Movies in the Pool, NB Day, and Canada Day.
Implement swim lesson plans tailored to different skill levels.
Conduct assessments of participants' swimming abilities.
Provide one-on-one/group instruction.
Keep records of participant progress, attendance, and notable achievements/challenges.
Maintain constant supervision over the swimming area.
Respond swiftly in the event of emergencies, executing water rescues and administering first aid as needed.
Coordinate with fellow lifeguards and emergency services to manage any critical incidents, demonstrating skills in CPR, AED usage, and other life-saving techniques.
Regularly inspect and maintain rescue equipment to ensure its readiness.

The overall goal is to plan and implement program activities for Summer Camps. This will be achieved by:
- Organize/Lead a variety of large group activities each week.
- Ensuring equipment is prepared for activities are available and all program areas are left clean and tidy;
- Participate with Club members, teaching skills, providing encouragement and support;
- Know and follow all safety guidelines associated with the Club and all program areas. This includes being responsible for youth’s safety and their whereabouts at all times;
- Direct youth in a manner that promotes safety and improves the quality of their interaction with one another;
- Observe participant behavior, assess its appropriateness, enforce appropriate safety regulations and emergency procedures and apply appropriate behavior-management techniques;
- Keep accurate records and incident reports; reporting incidents immediately to your manager.
This position 35-40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
