The supervisor will be responsible for working with the youth aged 6-10 in the Old North End of Saint John. The Summer Camp offers programs for youth and teens.
Working as a team:
*Plan and deliver programming for summer camp attendees (planning and training, 7 weeks of camp activities, end of summer events)
*Supervision of counsellors and youth while participating in summer activities (partner activities, day trips, events, playground
*Plan and supervise of educational and recreational activities outside
*Provide activities for the playground and in the community to engage youth
*Create a welcoming engaging space for teen drop in
*Prepare lunch and snacks
*Clean-up of activities
Working within Centre operations through:
*Clean-up after programming (programming area and common spaces)
*Event participation, including our community party day
*Supervision of youth in the Centre and at the playground
*Coordination of breaks and coverage when appropriate
*Other duties as assigned.

The Environmental Education and Outreach Coordinator will plan, lead, and implement the BWC’s outreach and camp programs. The coordinator will also assist with teaching the camp curriculum and supervising campers. They will also be tasked with maintaining a schedule and program records, camp equipment, and office tasks including data entry, report writing, and assisting with community events. This position requires a candidate with some leadership/management experience and the initiative to work with minimal supervision. Candidates with good organisational, communication and interpersonal skills and safety awareness are a must. Candidates must enjoy engaging with children and community members and working outside. Candidates who are pursuing university/college programs in education or environmental science will find this position an asset to their education and career development. This is a seasonal full-time position (35 hours per week) for 10 -12 weeks commencing in June 2025.

The Aquatic Field Biologist will provide scientific and technical support to the BWC’s aquatic field and office-based projects including water quality monitoring and research, fish passage restoration, fish surveys, sampling and tagging, and outreach projects. The Aquatic Field Biologist will also be tasked with riparian and aquatic restoration, and office tasks including data entry, report writing, and assisting at community events. This position requires a candidate with the initiative to work with minimal supervision. Candidates with good communication and interpersonal skills and safety awareness are a must. Must enjoy working outside in all weather conditions and have experience around boats and water. Candidates pursuing university/college programs in biology, environmental science, or ecology will find this position an asset to their education and career development. This is a seasonal full-time position (35 hours per week) for 10 -12 weeks commencing in June 2025.
