Resident Support Workers (RSW) are at both locations St.John House for men and Grace House for Women. We are open 23 hours per day , so the employee will be working days, evenings and overnights. The RSW will support residents in transitioning forward and optimizing physical and mental health , and well-being. They will facilitate medication and assist residents with access to the services, remind them of appointments , ensure safety and secure of the building , monitor living areas , and process incoming and out going donations.

As a support staff, you will experience various employment roles and be responsible for various duties throughout the offering. You will experience maintenance, kitchen staff, clinical and administration tasks.
Maintenance workers perform various duties on the grounds of the center including but not limited to lawn care, fixing various fixtures in the buildings onsite, painting and assisting with work on Portage Atlantic’s 3.7km all season trail.
Kitchen staff perform various duties including but not limited to inventory and ordering of food, meal planning and food preparation and cleaning.
Clinical staff perform various duties on and off site with residents in treatment, including but not limited to case management, group therapies, counselling and supervision day-to-day activities.
Administration staff perform various duties at the center including but not limited to Admissions, Quality Assurance and other administerial tasks such as filing, accounting and supply ordering.

Oversees weekly umpire scheduling and resolves conflicts. Plans and promotes tournaments, ceremonies, and community events. Provides leadership for Rally Cap (ages 5–9) and skill-development camps, ensuring a safe, inclusive environment. Acts as on-site coordinator for Sr. Men’s home games, arriving 90 minutes early, overseeing volunteers and operations (gate, 50/50, promotions), and supporting game-day events and publicity. Serves as main contact for parents/staff, manages equipment, enforces policies, and handles reporting and records.

The successful applicant will be responsible for basic grounds care, lawn mowing, planting and maintaining flower gardens. Painting and general outdoor improvements, repairs, cleaning and minor renovations of interior buildings and barns. During our fair students will provide friendly effective customer service to ensure patrons needs are met. Job duties and expected outcomes

This position is for 35 hours per week. The time on the job may be flexible to meet the garden needs. You will help to increase food security by planting, tending, and harvesting the food bank garden vegetable plots.
You will raise awareness by hosting, and encourage participation in weekly open “garden days” at our gardens, showcasing our garden peak season.
Passing out freshly harvested vegetables to registered families of the food bank, and sharing information on how best to prepare, eat and store products.
Other duties may be assigned including some light administrative work, packing food hampers, painting, grocery shopping, and engaging with registered clients of the St. George and Area Food Bank. Not limited to but other duties as enlisted by management. The student summer newsletter and posters and engaging in keeping data files updated.
