The Events and Promotions Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the operation and promotion of a weekly Saturday morning farmers’ market and additional special events. The Sackville Farmers Market is a Non-profit organization committed to promoting local, accessible, and sustainably farmed foods and serves to support emerging small local businesses.
Tasks include setup and tear-down of tables and equipment, assisting vendors and customers with questions or concerns, online promotions and website updates, maintaining safety and health standards, as well as hosting and fundraising at the Market information booth. Candidates should be able to work independently and as part of a team, be professional and reliable, have strong communication, problem solving, and writing skills.
Early Morning and weekend availability required. Physical activity with some moderate to heavy lifting (up to 25kg).
Hospitality or Event Planning experience an asset.

The Environmental Education Consultant will help lead outdoor wetland-based field trips to children from pre-K to university levels. Consultants will supervise other volunteers and help teach them to lead programs as well. Workplace maintenance, including cleaning, gardening and outdoor trail maintenance will also be part of the job.

Our hosts/producers are a team that work together to keep our community informed throughout the broadcast day on CHMA. Our hosts research, produce audio and online content of relevant community events and diverse music. They work with the staff of CHMA to keep our community informed and entertained. Outreach and engagement to promote campus and community is fundamental. They demonstrate an eclectic and unbiased knowledge of music and culture, as well as and a strong commitment to under-represented communities in Canada. Experience is not necessary and training will be provided. Community outreach, interest in independent and local culture, along with strong verbal and writing skills will be an asset. Candidates will engage in both aquatic and terrestrial fieldwork, with responsibilities including monitoring species at risk (e.g., bats, salmon, eel, wood turtle), tracking climate change effects on seasonal patterns, acting as guardians of conserved lands, creating outreach materials, and assisting with data entry.
Terrestrial tasks involve conducting wildlife studies through ground and aerial surveys, managing equipment like acoustic recording units and trail cameras, and performing vegetation surveys to assess habitat types and identify culturally significant species. Aquatic tasks include checking in-river traps, handling, sampling and tagging fish.
As most time will be spent outdoors, candidates must have a positive attitude and be comfortable working in various field conditions (rough terrain, water, bugs, inclement weather, etc.) while being ready to get hands-on. Training will be provided on sampling techniques, habitat recognition, and other necessary activities.

The Farm and Garden Support Worker will assist in growing food and supporting neurodivergent participants in skills-development at our organic farm, greenhouses, and gardens.
Tasks may include:
• Garden and greenhouse growing production
• Seeding, transplanting and watering; weed management
• Volunteer/participant mentoring and supervision
• Post-harvest processing, marketing and sales
• Animal husbandry
• Food preparation activities
Requirements
