The Environmental Education and Outreach Coordinator will plan, lead, and implement the BWC’s outreach and camp programs. The coordinator will also assist with teaching the camp curriculum and supervising campers. They will also be tasked with maintaining a schedule and program records, camp equipment, and office tasks including data entry, report writing, and assisting with community events.
This position requires a candidate with some leadership/management experience and the initiative to work with minimal supervision. Candidates with good organizational, communication and interpersonal skills and safety awareness is a must. Candidates must enjoy engaging with children and community members and working outside. Candidates who are pursuing university/college programs in education or environmental science will find this position an asset to their education and career development. This is a seasonal full-time position (35 hours per week) for 10 -12 weeks commencing in June 2023.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Resource Development Summer Student is responsible for providing administrative support, planning and executing activities in the Resource Development area of the Adult Literacy Fredericton. Specific duties performed may include: planning, executing and providing administrative and promotional support to special events and campaigns; and the provision of administrative/coordination support for third party events. The Resource Development Summer Student will also work with and support social media platforms such as Twitter and Facebook to promote and market agency and third party events, and maintain the Story Walk. They will liaise with the public, stakeholders and external organizations in relation to agency events and activities, and maintain good public relations.
