We are looking for an enthusiastic, attentive camp counselor to lead, support, and motivate campers as they enjoy all that the camp has to offer. The camp counselor will help plan events and lead group events, monitor campers and respond to incidents, such as behavioral problems or accidents, log events and maintain records relating to activities, and discuss camper participation and concerns with parents and other camp staff members. You should be positive, proactive, and caring while focusing on giving campers a fun, safe camp experience.

Plan, coordinate and impliment summer camp activities for children ages 4 to 13 years old including, but not limited to, gymnastics instruction, outdoor games, guests, outings, challenges, crafts, etc... The main goal is to ensure that every camper has the best camp experience possible through engaging, creative and fun activities. Camp co-Coordinators will work together to achieve this goal along with the coaching staff, rec director and club director. Gymnastics coaching experience is not necessary as we will provide training to someone willing to learn. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, an upbeat personality and be a leader as well as a team player.

Greens maintenance, mowing, seeding, fertilizing, and weeding. Facilities management, painting interior and exterior of building. Repair decks and boards surrounding green. Maintenance of green sheds (3) and regular maintenance of machinery and equipment. Prepares green for play, setting up rinks for competition on a daily basis. Following completion of play, put away all equipment. Assists with cleaning and sanitizing of clubhouse as per health and safety guidelines. Assists with local tournaments hosted by the club. Assists with Provincial and Atlantic tournaments hosted by the club. May require worker to play in order to complete existing teams. Other duties as may be assigned. This position may involve evening and/or weekend work.

Responsible for: direct supervision of campers; supervised planning of games, crafts, activities; cabin supervision for camper breaks / rest periods; plans, leads and implements educational and recreational camp experiences. Maintains a schedule for campers; creates and facilitates lesson plans for daily activities; organizes and leads small and large group activities; assists in keeping program records (ie: incident reports, logbook documentation, daily attendance); knowledge of emergency procedures associated with the facility; settles camper disputes; knowledge of safety guidelines of the facility; knows whereabouts of campers at all times; general staff duties (ie: weekly cleaning, camp-wide games, group sessions, staff training, team building, camper supervision and food serving).

Knows and understands all emergency procedures associated with the camp program. Will plan all daily educational cultural lessons/activities to celebrate diversity and promote unity. Through these fun activities, crafts and games, campers will expand their understanding of the global community and be encouraged to move into action; responsible for the summer global outreach project and empower campers to take on global responsibility in order to affect change in their world; responsible to maintain proper accounting of the fundraising efforts from camper projects and submit these monies to the appropriate organization(s); assist in the supervision of campers in general activities and group sessions; attend any (online) training for the summer Global Adventure teaching materials; general staff duties (ie: weekly cleaning, camp-wide games, group sessions, staff training, team building, camper supervision, food serving)

As a Cabin Leader you will be spending the majority of your time living with specified weekly campers. You will be acting as their guardian for the duration of their stay at Camp Tulakadik. Your main priority is to ensure the campers to have the best experience they can have at their summer camp as you stay on site for the entirety of the camping week. Other requirements include:

Be a role model, encourager, teacher, listener and spiritual leader for campers
Be a person of mature Christian faith and have a commitment to it
Be a part of a working team but also be able to work independently
Lead or be actively involved in cabin devotions
Cabin leaders are expected to stay in their designated cabins with their designated campers for the entirety of the camp
Cabin Leaders are expected to participate in ALL planned program activities

Ils soutiendront les mesures de conservation et encourageront la participation de la communauté à des initiatives telles que la surveillance de l'habitat de reproduction du papillon monarque, en s'adressant à divers publics, des jeunes aux passionnés de la nature, dans les zones rurales et urbaines. Ils recevront une formation pratique en matière d'études biologiques et effectueront des travaux sur le terrain dans le cadre de projets en cours. La participation à des opportunités de développement professionnel, à des ateliers et à des conférences leur permettra d'élargir leur réseau et leurs compétences en matière de communication.
