This position will allow students to work with AWI's Outdoor Educator during our summer Wild World youth camps. A great opportunity for anyone who loves to work with youth (grades K-6) with exciting nature-based outdoor learning goals. AWI's 120 acre site is the location for the camps, and the counselors will assist in camp prep, creating and delivering daily programs during the 5 weeks of day camp activities. In addition, interns will help with maintenance of AWI's site including trail network, ponds and other infrastructure. You will also be involved with updating site bio-inventory, and working in the wildflower and vegetable gardens. You will also learn about AWI's wildlife care program, as both the camp and wildlife programs operate on the same property.
