The Education and Engagement Intern will support the Conservation Council of New Brunswick’s Learning Outside program by delivering hands-on, biodiversity-focused outdoor education to schools and community groups, focusing on engaging newcomer youth and underrepresented communities. They will help develop and adapt curriculum-based activities, facilitate interactive learning experiences, and support mentorship initiatives for young adults from racialized groups. Additionally, they will contribute to program evaluation, outreach, and community engagement efforts.
Ideal candidates will have a passion for the environment, experience working with youth, and an interest in inclusive education. Strong communication and leadership skills, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and a background in environmental studies are assets. This role offers an opportunity to make biodiversity education more accessible while gaining valuable experience in community engagement.
