Under the supervision of the day camp manager, the senior day camp assistant will be responsible for:
- Supervision of a group of children during daytime activities (group play, crafts, Bible lesson, meals, etc)
- Management of behavioural issues as they arise and make reports to the day camp manager
- Attention to detail and aware of the health and safety of campers at all times (hydration, sunscreen, proper clothing for activity/weather, etc)
-Maintaining accurate records (sign in/sign out sheets)
- Management of all lost and found articles on a daily basis
- Assisting in supervising junior assistants
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area and putting away equipment after use

General head lifeguarding requirements and duties including:
- Supervision of private pool with shallow end and deep end
- NLS trained with current certification and first aid/CPR
- Ability to teach basic swimming skills, organize pool games, and provide a structured swimming program
- Maintain a clean, hazard free workspace (both in water and on deck)
- Maintain pool security (lock gates when not in use)
- Be a role model to children and other team members in pool safety and posted pool rules
- Assist with other campground activities as needed when lifeguarding duties are not required
