The cook's help performs a variety of tasks in the kitchen to help cook prepare meals to be packages and delivered to Meals on Wheels clients. Cook’s help supports the cook efforts to run and maintain the kitchen and prepare and present food that meets the quality assurance requirements of the organization, and is compliant with the Food Safety regulations for the Province of New Brunswick. Some of the duties involved in this effort include• assists with the preparation of the cold food items required for the daily meal preparation including packaging of the bread products, making and packaging of puddings and fruit • assists with the preparation of cakes and cookies under the supervision of the cook. • fills the cold food delivery bags in accordance with the daily count sheets
