The successful candidate will be working collaboratively with the nursing team in providing direct resident care to our 30 residents. Exact duties will reflect current level of education within the field. Students will be supervised and assisted to work within their current scope of practice. Ie) student who will be entering 1st year nursing program vs. student who has already completed two years of nursing education. Duties & Responsibilities Include: Assists residents with hygiene needs and daily living activities including bathing, dressing and at meal times Assists with resident’s restorative care programs, walking and range of motion; safe transfer techniques Assists residents to and supports them in participating in leisure activities Assists in resident focused specialized programming such as music therapy, outside activities

Assist Housekeeping and Maintenance staff in cleaning and maintaining the facility. Duties including but not exclusive: - Cleaning of Resident rooms, common areas, dietary facilities - Painting, grounds-keeping, gardening, etc - Awareness of infection control policies Skills and Attributes: - Strong work ethic - Ability to handle physical work (stand for extended periods) - Ability to perform indoor and outdoor work during summer months - Strong teamwork skills - A passion for Senior Care
