Work with animals with all types of behaviours, including sick and injured animals
Clean, disinfect and maintain animal areas (indoor and outdoor)
Provide animals with food and all necessary supplies
Provide animal enrichment and socialization
Monitor the health and behaviour of animals
Bathe and groom animals
Wash dishes, litter pans, laundry, sweep and mop floors
Clean and organize work areas including remove waste
Assist potential adopters
Observe animal control operations
Demonstrate a genuine interest, concern and compassion for animals especially shelter animals
Promote and educate on responsible pet ownership
Assist with transporting animals to veterinarian
Adhere to shelter policies and procedures
Perform other duties as necessary for the efficient operation of the Shelter
