The successful recipient will be responsible for creating summer programming for the special needs community. This would involve planning and staffing (coordinating volunteers) for a weekly drop in program (8 hour day) which promotes social interaction, the continued development of life skills, physical fitness and fun, coordinating our Illuminate events (activities for those with special needs, ages 14 and up, and giving support and direction to our Sunday morning Exceptional Ministries team (caring for children with special needs during our Sunday services). Our programs will be in English but knowing French would be a great asset.

The successful candidate would assist the Family Life Ministries Director in creating, promoting and executing activities including, rallies, summer camps and drop- in events that will engage families in the area surrounding the church during the summer months. Responsibilities would also include giving leadership to Sunday morning programming for children. Programs will be in English but the ability to speak French would be an asset.

The successful recipient would assist the youth and young adult ministry directors in planning and executing events throughout the summer month to engage youth and young adults in the surrounding area. This would include planning and assisting leaders in running day camps, rallies, young adult nights and drop in programs. Programs will be in English but the ability to speak French would be an asset.

Supervision of group activities including STEAM activities, physical activities, approved outings, snacks and mealtime. Encouraging children to participate in activities through positive direction and personal participation. Monitoring participation and reporting on engagement in an effort to build capacity. Reporting illness and behavior to the Program Manager and guardians/parents when necessary. Using positive redirection to assist children who are experiencing difficulties interacting with others.
