Maintains cemetery grounds and cleanup, Cutting grass, trimming bushes filling low areas with soil, digging and moving soil, seeding, watering and planting, removal of debris, branches and damaged displays from gravesite areas, operating lawn care equipment (mowers, sit down mowers, whipper snippers) Daily cleaning and maintenance of equipment, filling with gas, oil. Able to stand, walk, lift, stoop, kneel. There may be times that require lifting up to 50 lbs. Work individually or in partnership with another groundskeeper. Follow safety rules and regulations. Maintain shop area in a safe and clean manner.

To work with the Foundation Fundraising staff, as they prepare and work on various Campaigns but primarily to: 1. Must have good computer, data entry, clerical and organizational skills. Strong communication and writing competencies are essential. Social media knowledge and expertise is a must. The St. Mary's Community Food Forest is an initiative of St. Mary's Anglican Church to address food security in Devon by growing perennial foods that are available to anyone to harvest according to their need. This 0.6-acre food forest is entering its fifth year and includes apple, pear, plum, cherry, mulberry, heartnut, serviceberry and buffaloberry trees along with many fruiting shrubs and perennial vegetables.
The role of the Food Forest Gardener will be to engage visitors, create social media posts, maintain the food forest, and assist with food forest projects, events, and workshops. Typical activities may include planting, mulching, propagating, creating short educational videos, creating signage, hosting tours, engaging community members, building raised beds and propagation beds, lawn mowing, and helping with events.
Ideal candidates will have experience with gardening and small building projects, excellent people skills, and enjoy working independently and being outdoors.

The team of Public Works Labourers (Summer Students) play an integral role in our community and directly lead summer maintenance, beautification and behind the scene preparations for tourism and other recreational events that occur during the booming summer months.

The Public Work Labourers support the day-to-day operations of the municipality’s Public Works Department. Under the direction of the Public Works Supervisor and summer maintenance contractor, the students will assist with the general maintenance of buildings and properties, lead groundskeeping/landscaping duties, and support other operational tasks to help maintain safe and clean municipal infrastructure and public spaces.

The position requires the ability to work in various work locations, be adaptable to varying weather conditions and be a team player, brining an open-mind and can-do attitude.
