Implementation of programs to engage children between the ages of 6 to 12 years. Working with other staff members as a team. Supervision and participation of youth activities including STEAM activities, physical activities, approved outings, snack and mealtime. Encouraging children to participate in activities through positive direction and personal participation. Monitoring participation and reporting on engagement in an effort to build capacity. Reporting illness and behavior to the Program Manager and guardians/parents when necessary. Using positive redirection to assist children who are experiencing difficulties interacting with others.

The position requires an energetic compassionate person who loves working with the elderly . The position includes -
Conducing recreation programs in a variety of settings such as large groups, small groups and one on one.
Preparing Rooms, Materials and equipment for recreation programs
Motivating and facilitating recreation involvement .
Teamwork is a must for this position .

Duties

- greet donors, supporters, and clients who contact us in person or by phone
- assist with basic office tasks, such as handling paperwork and answering the phone
- assist with organizing and processing in-kind donations
- customer service at Catapult Coffee & Studio
- track data about who comes to Outflow for assistance and what type of assistance they need
- assist with light building maintenance and cleaning

You are passionate about reducing waste. You compost & recycle everything possible and understand the importance of keeping garbage to a minimum. You are an excellent communicator and comfortable talking to people of all ages, including children.
Duties
• Educate residents about recycling and composting
• Conduct waste audits & curbside surveys
• Input data from audits into excel
• Attend local events to promote waste reduction
• Office administration
• Conduct summer camp activities for children
• Conduct Puppet Show for Grade 2 students
Qualifications
• Post-Secondary student
• Excellent communications skills, organized and responsible.
• Passionate about the environment and waste reduction
• Bilingual is a definite asset.
• Valid driver’s license
